Delivering high quality, professional stringing and customisation

UKRSA Certified Stringers

About Us

Peter and Eoghan Furlong qualified as Professional Stringers in August 2008 by passing the UKRSA qualification, taught by Liam Nolan, former Head Stringer at Wimbledon. We both play tennis and wanted to understand different strings and tensions, and this led us to do the UKRSA courses. We now string racquets for Tennis, Squash, Badminton and Racquetball.

Receiving your Racquet

We will always ask what string and tension you require and check for any tennis elbow issues. We will inspect your racquet for any cracks, broken grommets and advise of any issues before we commence the restring. The racquet will also be cleaned.

Restringing your Racquet

Unless stated, the racquet will be strung to mid tension as stated on the racquet and it will be strung in line with manufacturer instructions on the stringing pattern. The main strings always undergo a dynamic tension equalisation process to increase the sweet spot.

Returning your Racquet

The racquet manufacturer logo is stencilled on the strings unless otherwise requested, and racquet are returned in a polythene bag with the date of restring, string and tension information attached. You will receive a text to confirm your racquet is ready.

Our Equipment

We have 2 constant pull electronic machines – a Prince P7000 and a Tyger T-800 and a manual crank RAB StringMaster 1000. These machines are extremely robust and all feature 6-point mounting swivel clamps.

The electronic machines have diablos to reduce the stress on the string and eliminate crushing of the string in the gripper.
